The prestigious Navigator Awards are presented annually in the following categories:
- Business of the Year
- Businessperson of the Year
- Young Professional of the Year
The awards are an opportunity to review the best business practices of successful entrepreneurs and set a benchmark of excellence for the years to come.
This year will mark the first event hosted at the world-renowed Strings Music Pavilion which will serve as the location of the awards presentation and the concert. See our 2014 award winners below.
Listen to the Performers
Rowan is a longtime session guitarist deeply rooted in the Nashville country scene. He was once named Guitarist of the Year by the Academy of Country Music, and has appeared on recordings by Alan Jackson, Chris LeDoux and Alabama. He’s produced albums for Blake Shelton and Nichols, the latter of which he’s bringing along to the Navigator Awards for their first ever public duo performance in Steamboat Springs.
It was Rowan who helped rising country artist Joe Nichols secure a recording contract and produced Nichols’ first album, released in 2002. The album’s second single “Brokenheartsville” was Nichols’ first of four Billboard chart-topping hits. Nichols’ name is once again splashed all over the charts this year with No. 1 hit singles “Sunny and 75” and “Yeah” hot in country radio rotation.
