YPN Program Mission, Goals and Member Benefits 

Mission:   
The Young Professionals Network of Steamboat Springs is a community development program of the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association committed to cultivating a community of young professionals by providing an outlet to build partnerships through professional development, philanthropic involvement and cultural, recreational and social opportunities.

Goals of the program:
• Introduce young professionals in the community to the Chamber
• Instill knowledge of and confidence in the Chamber for future growth
• Build and foster partnerships among peers
• Motivate personal and professional development
• Offer community advocacy and volunteer opportunities
• Connect young professionals to one another, to the community, and to local cultural and artistic events
• Be a credible resource to the community

• Ability to participate in YPN webinars, seminars, Fresh Air events, monthly events, workshops, etc.
• Access to YPN only monthly events with engaging speakers, exciting activities, and networking in a social environment

Mentor Program

The Steamboat Springs Young Professionals Network offers its members the opportunity to be paired with a mentor in the community. YPN members meet with a representative of the Chamber Resort Association, who will determine a fitting match as their mentor. The mentor/mentee relationship is kept confidential. The YPN mentoring program was established to provide its members with an opportunity they may not otherwise have access to. The mentees, members of YPN, gain significant insight beyond their own education and experience. The benefits of being a mentee including a clearer understanding of your career plans, direct access to a powerful resource within your profession, and knowledge that can not be taught in a classroom.
