Stacy Huffman
Chair
Stacy is originally from Iowa, where she graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management. Stacy previously worked for Yellowstone National Park’s lodging company, before moving to Steamboat to work at the front desk of the Steamboat Grand. She is currently the Director of Owner Relations for the Steamboat Grand. Stacy was awarded the inaugural Young Professional of the Year in October 2009.
Jackie Brown
Vice Chair/Treasurer
Jackie was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and obtained her degree from Bowling Green State University. After college she moved to Arizona to work with the Phoenix Coyotes professional hockey team, first in sales and eventually overseeing the Charities Department. She moved to Steamboat in 2007 when she accepted a position managing events and operations for the Homeowners' Association at Marabou Ranch. In June of 2010, Jackie accepted a new position with direction of development and special events for the Healthcare Foundation for the Yampa Valley. She also works part-time as the executive director for the Routt County Riders Bicycle Club. Jackie is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Steamboat.
Stacey Downey
Secretary
Stacey is a native Coloradoan who attended Mesa State College, receiving a BBA with a concentration in Marketing. Stacey moved to Steamboat in 2005 and has worked ever since for the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation. She began her career working in pre-sold services and then moved to Central Reservations. She is currently a hotel reservations supervisor at The Steamboat Grand.
Joshua Nowak
Professional Development Chair
Joshua Nowak currently works as a financial consultant with Bank of the West and as a bookkeeper at Young Tracks Preschool, where he also sits on the board. Josh moved to Steamboat after working for a year as a financial planner in Michigan, where he also attended college. He dual majored in Banking and Finance and Business Management at a small private business school, Northwood University, receiving his Bachelors degree in May 2008. Josh moved to Steamboat on a whim, having never heard of the town before, and fell in love at first sight.
Ryan Marsden
Fresh Air Chair
A native of Steamboat Springs, Ryan returned to the Yampa Valley after graduating from the University of Colorado with a degree in Environmental Design. He is currently a designer and project manager with Kelly and Stone Architects and has recently received LEED Accreditation from the US Green Building Council. Ryan is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Steamboat and was awarded the Young Professional of the Year award in October 2010.
Mary Wirta
Networking Chair
Mary is a graduate of University of North Dakota with a Bachelors degree in Management. Her career includes HR and management consulting with Personnel Decision International in Minneapolis. Mary moved to Steamboat in 2001 and worked for the City of Steamboat Springs in the Department of Planning Services. She is currently the recruiter for Yampa Valley Medical Center. She earned her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) in 2009 and is a 2009 graduate of Leadership Steamboat.
Jamie Bischoff
Philanthropic Chair
Jamie moved to Steamboat from Ohio in 2005 and has since worked for Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, managing The Travel Center at Steamboat, a local full-service travel agency. Jamie attended Bowling Green State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel Merchandising & Product Development. She also received an Associate's degree in Advertising & Marketing Communication while attending the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. She has developed a career in sales and marketing over the past 12 years, working for companies such as Anheuser-Busch and Dale Carnegie Training. In her spare time, Jamie also designs and creates items for her amateur home and apparel fashion line.
