African Dance

About the Workshop: This all levels West African Dance class will include a full body warm-up, isolations, introduction to movement theory for this style of dance, culminating with learning steps to a traditional West African dance with live drumming as accompaniment.
About the Instructor: Jen was first introduced to African Dance in Boulder in 1991 where she took two semesters of African Dance at CU.She became a part of Steamboat Dance Theatre in 1995 and started teaching African Dance in 2000. She is currently teaching at Colorado Mountain College. She is also a high school teacher and a climbing guide.
