4th Annual Wild West Air Fest and Labor Day Weekend Celebration
August 30 - September 1, 2008

Labor Day Weekend in Steamboat is packed with the entertainment in the air, on the mountain and all over town!  It's a Labor Day celebration for the whole family featuring remote controlled aircraft, vintage aircrafts and war birds, classic cars, hang gliders, para-gliders at the Steamboat Springs Airport; the final installment of the Annual Art on the Mountain, shopping and dogs! The Steamboat Springs Stockdog Trials are back! If you love dogs you won't want to miss these amazing animals herding sheep in this great competition on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Plus our semi-annual downtown sidewalk sale is a Steamboat tradition you don't want to miss!

More Event Details:
Head out to the Steamboat Springs Airport for airplane and helicopter rides, vintage aircraft and war bird planes static display, a vintage and classic car display as well as the radio controlled shows which will start at 10am and 1pm on both Saturday and Sunday.  Plus every year we schedule some special aviation talks and lectures which take place in the Mountain Flight Service hangar at the airport. Parking shuttles will be available back and forth from the Steamboat Springs Airport and the Stockbridge Transit Center. The Wild West Air Fest takes off this summer as part of the Steamboat Springs Labor Day weekend celebration.

Show support for this event by purchasing an event button, which acts as admission to all the festivities. Buttons can be purchased at the Steamboat Springs Visitor Center and the Steamboat Springs Airport. Buttons are $5 for adults and $2 for children 6-12 years of age. Kid's 5 and under are free! Buy your admission button once and you'll have unlimited access to the airport all weekend!

Don't forget to go over to the ski area to see hang-gliders and para-gliders take to the skies above. Be sure to stop by the Annual Art on the Mountain in Gondola Square where artisans bring a great variety of their work to display and for sale.
