109th Annual Cowboys' Roundup Days & July 4th Celebration
Saturday, June 30, 2012 - Wednesday, July 4, 2012

For over 100 years Steamboat Springs, Colorado has celebrated Independence Day in true western fashion. This is a special holiday and Steamboat does it right with a hometown parade which ends in a big dance party in the street.

Events like the Pioneer Days Block Party, featuring a free concert and Root Beer Floats for the kids, and the Ranch Rodeo where local ranches compete against one another are proof Steamboat's western roots alive and well.

Don’t miss the pancake breakfast, a trip down the Yampa River on your tube to cool off, and a night at the Pro Rodeo Series for the best view of the fireworks display. It’s the greatest display of colors, big booms, and as patriotic as any town in America can get. The only things you’ll hear afterwards are the car alarms set off by the vibrations from the fireworks.

Fouth of July Fireworks

The icing on the cake in 2012 is the staple weekend of Hot Air Balloon Rodeo and Art in the Park falling the weekend after the July 4th Celebration. We suggest you take a few days off work and beat the holiday traffic, the city heat, and experience two great events.
