Presented by Strings Music Festival
Strings Music Festival presents their Youth Concert series every Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
June 24: The Not-Its!
This rockin’ band has taken the kiddie rock scene by storm. Power Pop jams will have the whole family head-bangin’ and jammin’.
“The band is as adult-savvy as it is kid-friendly” ~ Seattle Magazine
July 1: C Street Brass
Bring on the Brass with this favorite from last summer! This award-winning brass quintet plays everything from Broadway hits to Latin rhythms.
July 8: Smirk
When a former scientist and Ringling clown join forces, you get Smirk! This goofy duo juggles, jokes and unicycles all at the same time.
July 15: Barry G
Folk and blues inspired, Barry G hopes the “kids feel music in their bones.” Strummin’ his guitar chords, Barry G encourages his kid audiences to move and dream along with the words he sings.
July 22: Fara Tolno & Kissidugu
When Fara Tolno drums on the djembe it’s hard to sit still. This master drummer returns to present the rich musical traditions of West Africa with his troupe of high energy drummers and dancers. Come let loose and dance.
July 29: Dr. Noize
Be a musician for the day! Help the Doc record and arrange songs live on stage with his looping machine and array of instruments.
August 5: Billy Jonas Band
Funky-folk music for the whole family’s eardrums. Billy Jonas Band follows no rules; he makes use of both traditional instruments and found objects such as buckets, broom handles and key chains. “Whenever I see him perform, my face hurts from smiling.” ~ Alison Krauss
